Even Hollywood kids say the darnedest things

Wanna bet that was the last party Kelly Ripa's son gets to attend for a while?

The new Southampton homeowner was mixing with guests this weekend at Super Saturday - the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund's annual fashion garage sale - when the innocent-enough topic of her wardrobe came up.

"I rarely shop for myself," began the morning show chatterer. "They provide me with clothes at my job, so if I'm shopping, I'm usually buying school clothes for the kids, since they grow every five seconds."

That's when Michael, 7, piped up with this non sequitur: "Last night, she told me she was gonna wash the dishes, but I saw empty margarita glasses in the kitchen."

Mom, holding daughter Lola, 3, in her arms, shot Michael a glance and threatened to withhold his cotton candy if he kept airing the family laundry.

"Uh, he's a little upset. Normally, when I put the kids to bed, I lay down with them until they fall asleep and then I leave the room," she explained.

"But last night I said to him, 'You know, I'm going to go wash the dishes,' and instead Mark [Consuelos] and I had margaritas outside on the patio ... which was fine, until Michael came downstairs."

As Michael ran off to his nanny, Ripa rocked her daughter back and forth.

"You're my new favorite," she told her.

Good for Kelly for trying to break the kids of the habit of someone laying with them while they go to sleep. We have spent all summer dealing with that problem.

Okay now I'd thought the show I saw today was shown yesterday everywhere else 'cause I knew I'd heard that story about Michael and "The Lie' yesterday. NOw I know where it came from. The whole time Kelly was telling it I kept thinking, 'Is this the same show they had yesterday?'

It was a really cute story, and isn't it just like a 7 yr old to make funny faces whenever someone wants to take his picture? Good show today!!

I'm STILL that way at MY age. I always make faces when getting a picture taken.
I was sooooo tempted to do that with my wedding pictures, but refrained..lol

Going through OUR picture albums is a trip. Me, my kids, all make faces and the husband doesn't. He's the only one that looks sane in the bunch..haha
